The school organizes a half day guided tour each week in the most beautiful artistic or natural sites, for example: Urbino, San Marino, le grotte di Frasassi, Ancona, Gubbio, Rimini.  We also offer food and wine workshops (visit to a farm which produces oil, wine and pasta or pizza making lesson). These activities are free of charge and their cost is included in the price of the Italian language course.

On Saturdays students are free to do their own activities while on Sundays the school organizes optional full day excursions to various beautiful artistic, historical towns and seaside resorts in the Marches and central Italy: Florence, Ravenna, Perugia, Assisi, Riviera del Conero, Bologna…

The town of Mondavio with its surroundings offers students the opportunity to practice many sports: horseackriding, tennis, and swimming. Finally the sea is within easy reach: it just takes 15-20 minutes to get there.

Our activities

Even if you are in Mondavio to learn the language, you probably won’t want to spend all your time studying!  You can spend enjoyable afternoons in the company of others and enrich your knowledge of the Marche region and its traditions.  Whoever would like to do so with us can participate in our cultural programs.

Here are the main activities that the school organizes for you:

Food Tasting
Visits to farms and vinyards that produce wine, oil, pasta, truffles, cheese, and honey.  You can try delicious red and white wines of the Marche with bruschetta and oil.

Mmm, pizza!
Wood-fired Italian pizza workshop. You will be Marcello’s assistant and prepare your own favorite pizza following Italian tradition.  Is that enough to make your mouth water?

Pasta! What a passion!
What a wonderful idea, learning language and cuisine together!  In this activity you will be able to prepare and eat tipical Italian and Marcheggiano dishes while chatting with and following the instructions of an expert chef.  The menu includes a choice of antipasti, first and second courses, side dishes and deserts, based on seasonal ingredients.  Finally you will enjoy your dishes together at the end of the cooking lesson.

Treasures of Art
Each week the school organizes a guided visit to discover the most beautiful places in the Marche.  The excursions are a perfect occasion to socialize and to create new friendships with students from all over the world.  All the trips are guided by a member of the school staff.

To the beach or to the countryside!
To experience up close our territory and the Adriatic Sea there is nothing better than a beautiful walk on the beach or through the countryside.  Students can choose between the smooth beaches of Senigallia, the sandy or stony beaches of Fano, or the rocky cliffs that plunge into the sea at Monte Conero near Ancona.

Treasure Hunt Italian style
A game in which you will discover the town of Mondavio.  You will discover the history and artistic beauty of the town and get to know the place you will be living in.
